Scholarship: Ebonyi State Sends First Batch of Scholarship Students Abroad (Pics)

In a heartwarming moment at the Willberforce Chuba Okadigbo International Airport, 204 young men and women from Ebonyi State boarded flights to various universities abroad, embarking on a life-changing journey under the state’s fully funded foreign scholarship program for the 2024/2025 academic year.

Governor Francis Nwifuru, who personally flagged off the program, described the initiative as a bold step towards building the future of Ebonyi State and Nigeria. “This is not just about education,” he said. “It’s an investment in the limitless potential of our people. Through this program, we are addressing human capital development and equipping our youth to tackle challenges facing our society.”

The governor encouraged the scholars to see the opportunity as a reward for their hard work and brilliance, urging them to excel in their studies, build meaningful global connections, and always remember the responsibility they carry as ambassadors of Ebonyi State.
