Today been 28 December 2024, an election of traditional ruler was held and the winner was Mr Sam Ekeson with a total vote of 605, while his opponent got 540 votes.
The two candidates are Sam Ekeson and Kelechukwu Emmachukwu. according to the people that were interviewed during this election, NaijaNewsTrend was meant to understand that Kelechukwu Emmachukwu was the winner of the previous election before it was cancelled and was prosponded today 28 December 2024.

During the election they seems to be some kind of distractions, as a man was caught with pistol by the security officials that were there.
Apart from this, it was said that the just concluded election was successful and everything went well. Though there was a little mistake of numbers during the voting, but was later fixed.
The election was done by four communities under Ahani Achi.
Which are: Ogbulugu, Okpuno, Oluchi, Umuelebe. Which was the communities that made up Ahani Achi and this are the 4 communities that voted for their candidate of their choice.
Sam Ekeson was finally merged as the winner of the election today.
For more than a year now, Ahani Achi has been with having a traditional ruler (igwe) after the former ruler passed away the village has been struggling to have a fit in king that will take over the throne. And today was a joyful day to the people of Ahani Achi as they have elected the candidate of their choice to be their king.
In conclusion: Sam Ekeson has officially been elected as the new traditional ruler of Ahani Achi, an unknown man was caught with pistol during the election.
