NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship Details:

In line with its dedication to education and human capital development, NLNG invites applications from first year students in the 2024/2025 academic session for the 2024 Undergraduate Scholarship Award.

The NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship initiative is designed to support exceptional first-year students (in 2024/2025 academic session) in Nigerian Universities, equipping them with the resources to excel academically and contribute to national development. 
NLNG is committed to fostering an inclusive scholarship programme and encourages applications from all eligible students, including Persons Living with Disabilities (PLWDs).

Eligibility Requirements for NLNG Scholarship 2024

To be considered for the NLNG Scholarship, you must:
  • Must be a citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and currently residing in the country.
  • Must be currently enrolled as a full-time first year student in 2024/2025 academic session in an undergraduate programme at an accredited Nigerian federal or state-owned university. 
  • Must possess at least five O-Level credits including Mathematics and English, in WASC, SSCE or NECO in ONE sitting. 
  • Must be between 18 and 25 years old at the time of application.
  • Must not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship, bursary, or grant from any other organization. 
  • Must NOT be a spouse, child, ward, or direct relation of staff of NLNG.
Additionally, applicants from Host Communities; 
  • Must be a citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and an indigene of any of the NLNG’s Host Communities.
  • Must provide a valid identification letter from the applicable host community and Local Government Council.
Benefits of NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship 2024

The NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship offers a sum of N300,000 per year to all selected candidates.

Required Documents for NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship 2024

To apply, candidates must be ready to submit the following documents;

  1. Complete Application Form
  2. Passport photograph with white background not more than 3 months old (450px by 450px not more than 200kb)
  3. O-Level and UTME results
  4. University and JAMB Admission letter
  5. University student ID card
  6. National Population Commission Issued Birth certificate
  7. Local Government Area (LGA) letter of identification
  8. National ID Number (NIN) Slip
For Students from Host Communities;
  • Local Government Area (LGA) letter of identification
  • Complete academic transcripts from 100 level to the most recent academic year, signed and stamped by the university’s registry, exams unit, or the appropriate authority.
  • Community letter of identification signed by a Community Development Committee (CDC) Chairman or paramount ruler/king.
