The Enugu state police command has published images of the officer believed to have caused the untimely demise of traditional Ogene musician, Chikezie Okezie Nwamba, also known as Igbo-Jah.
As stated by authorities, the musician was exiting the Squad's Headquarters after a friendly visit when, for unknown reasons, Inspector Ozonwanji Joseph fired his gun, striking the victim on October 25th.

The wounded musician was immediately transported to the hospital, where a medical professional confirmed him to be deceased. His body has since been transported to the morgue for preservation and an autopsy.
In an official statement by the state police PRO, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, it was announced that "The Enugu State Command's Commissioner of Police, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, psc (+), along with top officials from the State Government, visited the family of the late Ogene musician, Chikezie Okezie Nwamba (a.k.a. Igbo-Jah), to offer condolences for the tragic shooting and murder of the musician by a police officer."
