Suspected child trafficker arrested in Anambra

 The Anambra Police Command made a significant arrest today, as they apprehended a member of a notorious gang involved in the trafficking of children aged 13-16 to nearby countries such as Ghana and Benin Republic. According to a statement by the command's spokesperson, Ikenga Tochukwu, the Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam, expressed concern about the growing number of missing persons, particularly in areas like Okpoko and Onitsha. As a result, the Police Operatives were given strict instructions to put an end to such activities.

Tochukwu further revealed that the victim has been safely brought back from Accra, Ghana and has been debriefed. The suspect is currently being interrogated at the State Criminal Investigation Department, (SCID) Awka, with hopes of rescuing other victims and apprehending more members of the gang.
