The Government of Lagos State has announced a three-month extension of its work-from-home policy for public servants. This decision was made by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and conveyed through a circular signed by the state's Head of Service, Bode Agoro, on Wednesday, September 4.
Originally introduced on February 28, the policy enabled workers on grade levels 01 to 14 to work remotely for two days per week, and those on grade levels 15 to 17 to work from home for one day per week. This initiative aimed to mitigate the effects of fuel subsidy removal on public servants.
In the new circular, Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized the positive outcomes of the work-from-home policy on workers' efficiency in various ministries, departments, and agencies.
